Trip to Montacute House 2003
As part of their work on the Tudors, children in Year 5 enjoyed a visit to one of our local historical treasures - Montacute House. During the day the children were given a tour of the house and participated in a number of activities, including quill pen writing, Tudor kitchen artefacts, portrait investigations, and sketching the architecture of the house. The guided tour gave a fascinating insight into the life of a wealthy Tudor family and contrasted well with the visit of Steve and Jo Parish who highlighted the poorer side of life. |

Forces 2003
Year 2 spent a week on their science topic 'Forces'. They linked this to their literacy work on instructions. After bringing in scooters and thinking about the forces needed to start and stop them, they then wrote a set of instructions on 'how to ride a scooter'! Great fun - and lots of learning. |

Harvest 2002 As part of our Harvest celebrations, the children
and parents kindly donated hats, scarves, socks etc for a local
charity called Night Shelter. These clothes will be greatly
received to help the homeless of Yeovil to keep warm this winter.
Thank you to all who supported us. |
